Sounds like a long time but it is not really. This in an interesting article about our planet and what scientist found that will affect life in Earth by 2050. Looks like science fiction but i guess is real.. Researchers has showed evidence in this report.

I didn't want to check the link but I just did - very sobering stuff ..... tigers , elephants , fossil fuels , climate shift , I do worry about our kids are they going to be able to have their's???? .... are we going to have a one-child China policy? .... lots of questions for the globe very soon.

I am very sceptical about anything from the WWF. That is the organisation founded and chaired for many years by Prince Phillip the guy who hunts Tigers in India from the back of an elephant and who in the event of reincarnation would like to come back as a deadly virus so he could help with the problem of overpopulation.

An inbred royal sicko.

The report date is JULY 2002.

Prince phillip is the only real royal.

Here's his virus quote....

I just wonder what it would be like to be reincarnated in an animal whose species had been so reduced in numbers than it was in danger of extinction. What would be its feelings toward the human species whose population explosion had denied it somewhere to exist... I must confess that I am tempted to ask for reincarnation as a particularly deadly virus.

Couldn't find the video I wanted... it had us in flying cars, space colonies, underwater cities... instead we have oppressive regimes forcing wars on terror when they're the terrorizers, double speak, 24/7 propaganda and we can't even predict tomorrows weather.

If half of what they say (greenies, Green Peace, WWF, Sierra Club, UN, ICCC) was true, it's too damn late anyway.

Don't blame the citizenry though. They are just forced to buy what the multinationals throw at them.

We could have ended our dependancy on oil and other dirty fuels decades ago but there is very little profit in doing that.

What happened to the "Sarich Orbital Engine"?? Half the weight, half the fuel consumption and twice the horsepower.

The multinationals made him an offer he could not refuse.

Surrender the technology, cop the millions and go play with something else,....OR......DIE!!

Not a hard decision to make.

"They are just forced to buy what the multinationals throw at them." - No one is forcing you to buy anything. If you want to support local manufacture then let yor actions do the talking. Buy locally manufatured boards and sails, cars, televisions, clothes etc.

"We could have ended our dependancy on oil and other dirty fuels decades ago but there is very little profit in doing that."
We could have - but didnt. Therefore we continue to contribute to the profitmaking. Is that their issue or ours?

"What happened to the "Sarich Orbital Engine"?? "
It was rubbish. There was only ever a prototype that was never tested under load. It never actually produced "twice the horsepower" - that was marketing spin. Almost half a billion dollars was spent (if you believe that) developing it and it was an abject failure.

The engine was a failure, but he wasn't, sarich is worth millions now,( maybe billions) He made a fortune on the patents doing nothing
And the injector system was a win, win, yamaha and others use it in their outboards and other toys still today

What was better was that he actually spent other peoples money (BHP etc) doing the research and development. He actually lost very little of his own money.
I agree - he is a smart man, but the engine was still rubbbish.

IN THE YEAR 2525
Written & performed in 1969.
One hit wonder, went to No 1 in USA, UK, Oz etc

Are we learning anything???

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do, and say
Is in the pill you took today

In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you

In the year 5555
Your arms are hanging limp at your sides
Your legs got nothing to do
Some machine is doing that for you

In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube' Whoooa

In the year 7510
If God's a-comin' he ought to make it by then
Maybe he'll look around himself and say
Guess it's time for the Judgement day

In the year 8510
God is gonna shake his mighty head then
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down and start again

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing

Now it's been 10,000 years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what he never knew
Now man's reign is through
But through eternal night
The twinkling of starlight
So very far away
Maybe it's only yesterday

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may thrive
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do or say
Is in the pill you took today ....(fading...)
