I kiteboard in summer but in winter I need something to keep me so exhausted I forget to be miserable about not kiteboarding... so I run marathons! Several of us will be running 42.195 kilometres dressed in medical outfits - surgeons, doctors, nurses, patients and even as an ambulance to help raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, at the Perth City-to-Surf on Sunday 29 August.
We hope to set Guinness world records whilst doing this. For example, I have to beat 3:46:27, the GWR for fastest marathon in a nurse's uniform (male), set at the London Marathonhttp://community.guinnessworldrecords.com/_London-Marathon-results/BLOG/2315079/7691.html ! :D
If you can, please donate at the Leukaemia Foundation's secure website for our group
my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=349556 . A tax invoice for tax deduction purposes is sent by email and 100% of donations from that site go directly to the Leukaemia Foundation.
Cheers, rescueme aka Bigmike
Please support us running 42.195km for a good cause!
Donations may be made to either:
* Our City-To-Surf's Everyday Heroes Fundraising Page
www.everydayhero.com/au/
* Directly to the Leukaemia Foundation's sponsorship page
my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=349556
* Personally to me if you know me I have a receipt book!
In all cases a receipt will be provided for tax-deduction purposes.
Our races will be certified by Guinness World Records for attempts to set GWR's for:
* Best marathon time as a Doctor
* Best marathon times as a Nurse (male)
* Best marathon time as a Nurse (female)
* Best marathon time as an Ambulance
* Another attempt remains a secret for now

Best of luck (also with the chaffing

I don't trust myself with a credit card but will forward this to wifey (who actually is a nurse) and some friends who will be interested.
Your bound to make good time with some randy doctor hot onya tail.
