Foreign Correspondent this evening carried a story about incarcerated Muslims and their jihadist intentions.
So, that is in your face on national television unless you flick the channel to CSI or some other meaningless allegedly entertaining program.
Late one night last week I started a thread to which I posted the text of an email that spelled out what the agenda of the Muslim radicals are.
No comment was made or contained in the text about the religion. No opinions, just the documented agenda.
The thread was removed before it got to see the light of day.
Are the owners, administrators and moderators of this forum site afraid to admit that the freedoms we enjoy in this country that allow this forum to exist are under threat?????? ie ostriches??
Whats this got to do with windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, stand up paddleboarding, sailing, land sailing or sitting on your bum watching the waves?
You don't like Muslims. You don't want them coming to Australia. Thats fine. The Aborigines probably didn't want the British coming to Australia either.
Just remember Muslims aren't some monolithic block where everyone thinks the same. If you maintain an us vs them mentality all you will get is an us vs them reality.

Muslims believe Mohammed was God's last and greatest prophet
And True Muslim belief's - what are True Muslim beliefs ?
Those of the Sunni or those of the Shi'ite, or those of Mohammed ?
One could argue the true beliefs of Mohammed was to unite warring factions, by the use of force if nescessary, in order to create a peaceful and profitable world. True beliefs in the sense that was what his actions were.

this site is abouit watersports, but there is a general discusion thread aimed at things that fall outside all that is listed and well advertised as things pertaining to watersports. there is a broad crosssection of intelligent watersport participating people who look to the general disscusion pages to see what their peers might view as what might be relevent to the world outside of water sports.
i for one, would hope my peers would be able to discern that what we are feed by the (owned) media and establishement is exactly what they want us to believe.
radical islam is no different from evangelical christianity, christianity in its pure form is about recognising oneself as a mere caretaker of a planet of consciousness, not about the second coming of jesus- who is completley seperate from the christ we are lead to believe is jesus (and who may well be the egyptian god iesis), islam holds these same tennements true aswell.
what we are feed is fear based presented in an economic cataclismic senario. because that is how we are controlled, and that is how they are controlled.
that is how it will be played out, us versus them, because they'll steal our jobs, they treat their women like poo and they don't assimilate.

jihadist islamics fall into the same catagory as evangelical christians, we really need to feel sorry for them the same way we feel sorry for the evangelicals.

if the administrators want to censor or delete threads because they might fall outside the guidlines of what the sponsors might shy away from or even worse they decide is in thier best intersts to censor , then i say to the sponsors, who do you hope to advertise to when your audience has deserted the platform because of the censorship and worse because the platform is no longer relevant...?

The reason we moderate some threads is because people get really fired up, get incredibly emotional, threaten to top themselves (seriously!) and we really don't want that sort of stress.
Religion and politics tend to do that to some people, which is why it's normally frowned apon to post incendiary messages on these subjects. There's nothing wrong with a bit of banter, a some light hearted jesting, so long as it all stays nice and happy.
Saying that the moderators are ostriches is a pretty quick way to get yourself banned (yes we are vengeful deities

That is great and we should all entertain and consider other people's point of view, but in the end it just becomes what nebbs described above - so mods are necessary.
I guess my original comment was a bit over the top. I had some Korean rice wine and beer with dinner at a Korean restaurant last night before getting home and hitting the net.
My feelings are as follows. We should not have a discrimatory immigration policy. However if immigrants come to Australia and they incite or commit crimes then they should be sent back to wherever they come from. I don't think it matters if they have taken out Australian citizenship. If they renounce their original citizenshio we need to negotiate with that government if necessary to get them out of Australia.
From what I know becoming an Australian citizen means agreeing to an oath you will do something like uphold the laws of the land. So if you are breaking the laws, you are breaking the oath and thereby its null and void. Thus you are kicked out.
I live in Sydney where there is a large Muslim community. Members of this community do cause problems at a beach which is frequented by windsurfers, especially in summer. I don't like these people acting obnoxiously, leaving the place a mess and generally being unpleasant. However is it because they are Muslim or because they are d!ckheads? Perhaps its the local council and police responsibility to enforce the laws that are there to try to force people to get on with each other even when some of them don't want to.
