Coastal Waters Forecast for South Australia
Issued at 4:15 pm CST on Wednesday 23 September 2009
valid until midnight Saturday.

Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.


Warnings
A Gale Warning is current for the South Central Coast south and west of Kangaroo Island and the South East Coast offshore. A Strong Wind Warning is current for the remainder of these coasts and the Far West and West Coasts.

Synoptic Situation
At 1500 Wednesday a ridge of high pressure is over the north of the State. A series of fronts are expected to move across southern waters on Wednesday and Thursday, with a stronger front on Friday.

Far West Coast:
Strong Wind Warning.
Wednesday until midnight : Wind: NW/SW 10/15 knots, becoming variable 5/10 knots during the evening. Sea: 1 to 1.5 m abating below 1 m this evening. Swell: SW 2.5 to 3.5 m.
Thursday : Wind: N/NW 5/10 knots, increasing to NW/W 10/15 knots during the morning, ahead of a W/SW change 20/30 knots during the afternoon and evening. Sea: 0.5 m, rising to 1 to 1 .5 m during the morning then 2 to 3 m with the change. Swell: SW 1.5 to 2.5 m.
Friday : Wind: SW 25/35 knots.
Saturday : Wind: SW/S 20/30 knots, gradually easing to 15/25 knots during the morning, and to 5/15 knots by evening.

Strong Wind Warning.
Wednesday until midnight : Wind: SW/NW 15/20 knots, easing to 10/15 knots north of Streaky Bay during the evening. Sea: 1 to 2 m. Swell: W/SW 3 to 4 m.
Thursday : Wind: NW 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots south of Elliston, freshening to 15/20 knots throughout during the afternoon, then shifting W/SW 20/30 knots in the evening. Sea: 1 to 1.5 m, rising to 2 to 3 m with the change. Swell: SW 1.5 to 2.5 m.
Friday : Wind: W/SW 25/35 knots.
Saturday : Wind: SW/S 20/30 knots, easing to 15/25 knots during the afternoon and to 10/20 knots by evening.

Thursday : Wind: NW 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots south of Cowell to St Kilda during the morning. Winds shifting W/SW 20/25 knots over southern Spencer Gulf late evening. Possible late thunderstorm over southern Spencer Gulf. Sea: 1 to 1.5 m, rising to 1.5 to 2 m. Swell: S/SW 1.5 to 2.5 m on southern Spencer Gulf, W/SW around 1 m on southern Gulf St Vincent.
Friday : Wind: W/NW 15/25 knots, increasing to 20/30 knots over Spencer Gulf during the morning, ahead of a SW change 20/30 knots during the afternoon, reaching 25/33 knots over Spencer Gulf .

Friday : Wind: NW 25/35 knots, tending W/NW 20/30 by sunrise, then shifting SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon and evening.
Saturday : Wind: SW 20/30 knots, increasing to 30/40 knots during the day.

Im afraid that its not hard to conclude from this thread that NOBODY GIVES A **** ABOUT THE WEATHER IN Sth Oz!!
Where is it anyway, and does anyone live there???
