Respect to all the family's that lost there children.....but with the gun law in America these slaughters we continue to happen.
I would bet that guy would have spent hours playing computer shooting games.
300 million private weapons in circulation in USA.
Thank good our laws are strict on gun laws!
Exactly......gun culture. Check the international homicide by firearms stats from last year. Pretty hard to argue.
Even though it might be their culture they should still regulate it a lot better!
Their argument 99% of the time is; "I need a gun to protect myself"
Well I feel just fine and safe without a gun. Maybe you don't feel safe because everyone else has a freaking gun?
It is true what Dan Berry says. The stats totally show that guns in the USA make for countless murders and not to mention armed robberies.
With less than 5% of the world's population, the United States is home to roughly 35–50 per cent of the world's civilian-owned guns, heavily skewing the global geography of firearms and any relative comparison
In China someone else went off the deep end and INJURED 30 or so children with a knife on the same day.
That is the difference that easy access to guns make.
Was on the phone with the US for work - Dallas of all places. Inevitably the topic came up.
They were saying that many of the radio callers were for... equiping schools with guns for teachers to fight back (?). That there should be more guns to fight people with guns, not fewer. And so on.
Crazy, but am not altogether surprised...
Maybe they should just arm the kiddies, them they'll be safe at school. The stupidity is mind boggling![]()
yeah they argue that there should be more guns so people can defend themselves..
Wouldn't have done kindergarten kids any good would it.
Second term obama should have a go
yes it seems like a massive cycle, the call, "guns don't kill people" cry together with over 300 million guns in private ownership brings a living in fear scenario in the greatest free nations of the world?, I don't get it? ...I feel its just been a massively successful marketing campaign by the gun lobby and manufacturers to sell their product and increase returns for the share holders... If indeed the figures are correct about gun ownership in the USA, then why are people so shocked at the latest tragic shooting? The response in the board rooms of the manufacturers will be a step up the marketing of "defending oneself" and quietly they will be thinking that the victims are just "collateral damage" of liberal gun laws and a chance to increase sales...
GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE!! It's the fuggin bullets. Just stop selling bullets. Eventually the bullets will be so expensive it will cost too much to kill someone. That way they can still have their 2nd right :the right to bare arms blah blahdy blah. Nowhere in their constitution does it say they have to sell bullets. Big ups to Chris Rock.
Ah the ole outcry against guns every time.
Predictable.
It's not the guns, it's the crazies; why did the mum of this guy even have two semi auto pistols?
And have them in easy acces of her f*kd up kid with aspergers?
Anyway, about the gun thing...
Did you all miss the incident in China where another crazy killed 20 odd kids at a school, with a KNIFE?
Perhaps we should ban knives too?
What I don't understand is why they need automatic weapons? If they like shooting for sport wouldn't it be more of a sport to shoot a target with one shot? Automatic weapons to my understanding are for people that are rather a bad shot.....or want multiple kills?
Well that's alright then, injured not killed.
There's no underlying problem to be addressed then, as long as there are no guns, the crazies can continue to be ignored.
(and my mistake, I had heard they were killed in that China incident)
^ ...what the? Who said the crazies can be ignored? Ever?
People are just saying they should have less access to weapons. Weapons that nobody needs. That's all. Seem sensible to you?
Oh... so we'll just fix the crazies? How do you propose that? How long will that take?
In the meantime give them guns.
What a moronic argument. Crazies running around with spoons is only a risk to the crazy and possibly bowls of soup.
Are you suggesting that the US has more crazies than the rest of the world? Isn't that a reason to take all guns away from them?
India and China and Russia all have populations far greater than the US and presumably far more crazy people but their incidence of gun related crime is far less.http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2012/12/15/what-makes-americas-gun-culture-totally-unique-in-the-world-as-demonstrated-in-four-charts/
The point is the world would be safer with less guns.
There are many other things that would make the world a safer place too, but they don't fall under the category of "gun control".
