My daughter is a budding artist and she's in the finals for the Rockingham Youth Art Competition. It would be so good for her CV if she wins. Can you please help her out and give her a Facebook Like. She's currently in first equal position so every vote counts.

There no "Like" button to click.

Suzy,
Maybe rather than falsely building up your child's perception of her abilities (by manipulating a web based voting criteria), how about letting her win the comp on her own, and thereby saving her a bigger let down when she has to deal with the big bad world all on her own.

PS - I voted for Nick.

I sure wish politicoans would do that, but that's the world we live in.

Good on ya for supporting your daughters ambitions and showing her how it's done in the real world.
seriously Saus, you think the other competitors (including nick aren't rallying votes somewhere.) but i love the principle of your post

It's called marketing. You don't have to vote for it if you don't like the picture.

She's perty.

I've got some friends that are artists. The trick is to be not only a good artist, which is damn hard, but to also produce work that is commercially appealing. For example Munch's "The Scream" is somewhat of a masterpiece but you wouldn't hang it in your living room.

My friend was self taught and at one stage was selling around $10K/week's worth of paintings. He could not keep up with demand. I'd show you some examples but I can't recall his "artist's name" that he used.

The crux of the story is he made pieces that people really wanted to hang in their homes.

He's a bit of a crazy genius. He completely dropped art after a few years and now he's a full time gambler, apparently living off of it.

Busted!

Thought some of you were being harsh when most of us would bust a nut to help our kids. Most peeps do the same and we've had half-arsed DJ wannabe's hitting up SB forums for votes too. Big Hi to Dave Spruce in Spruceland!

I draw the line at essentially spamming webbys that you have previously had no input or involvement with before (1 post on SB and probably the same on the photo blog when she spammed them).

Bye bye Suzy.

Not meaning to be harsh Suzy but that spray work from your daughter is ok but definately nothing to kick on with for a career. Go back to flashing the tasty pins.

Paintings nice, but why not encourage your daughter to diversify her career.
I think she could have a future in the porn industry.

This is the same chic that won the Razamataz new legs competition about a month back!

Her and her mum did a letter drop in just about everywhere in Rockingham to rally votes for that comp as well.....

Its a bit crap joining a forum then asking everyone to vote for something. Some forums have rules in place to not allow hyperlinks to be inserted for a period of time after joining or before a certain number of posts are made.
