MELBOURNE: Australia is the most sinful nation on the Earth, a study has claimed as the country ranked first overall in seven deadly sins, which include lust, greed and pride.
"The country that gave the world The Body, Sylvania Waters and Les Patterson has been ranked first overall in a study of the seven deadly sins - lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride," according to 'Courier Mail' newspaper that qouted the latest edition of BBC's focus magazine.
Australia took out the dubious honour in the edition of BBC's magazine of science, technology and the future.
While US topped the table for gluttony, South Korea topped the list for lust.
Iceland ranked number one for both pride and sloth and Mexico topped the list for greed, the study revealed.
Australia's biggest weakness was envy and ranked in the top 10 in all categories to give a higher aggregate than the US, Canada, Finland or Britain.
The article, which argues that people are "bad" by nature, has found social data to compare nations under the categories of wrath, sloth, pride, lust, greed, gluttony and envy. The report said the to determine country's wrongdoigns, the researchers studied levels of violent crime by comparing incidents of assault, rape and murder per 1000 people.
For sloth, they looked at the number of days off workers have. For pride the comparison was made on plastic surgery rates per capita, and for lust they looked at the amount people spent on porn.

I would hate to have to leave Queensland or Australia because of oppression or any other reason. To my way of thinking it is God's country. Surely most other people think of their homeland in the same terms.
My comment on Muslim migration to Australia is sarcasm directed towards the media. They are so starved of intelligence and interesting subjects to write about that they have to put negative rubbish like that in the paper.
Many of the so called journalists are unable to spell correctly or put a comprehensible sentence together. That is a sad comment on our education system and society.

This is absolutely the case but whether it is "conspiracists" or "powerful money", it matters not because the effect is the same.
Also "We do not have any angry young men here in Australia of course!". No, but there are plenty of angry old men who remember how much better this country was before the rot set in in the early 70s.
In the 50s and 60s there was a sentiment and ethic in Australia that made it great. Along the way it has been forgotten and lost and I am not being nostalgic here.
As an example:- If a parent or parents had a drama that had to be dealt with, they would just take their children to a neighbor or friend asking for them to be cared for while the issue was resolved. The children would be accepted without question.
You did not have to ring up and make an appointment and no one needed a blue card. It is almost impossible to help out at the local Scout Group these days without following a strict protocol. Trust in our fellow human beings has gone out the door.

I would have thought Brazilians would feature heavily in the pride/vanity/envy dept given the love of plastic fantasic overhauls there.

I recon it would be good if they left their baggage in the old country and tried to attach
