Outstanding exercise and it sure looks mean, but 400 horses is quite pedestrian compared what's available over the counter and commonly in use.

The most impressive part is he did it for 12K, wow! There are much bigger seeders out there, I've seen 200ft + air seeders on the internets but a setup like that with a tractor/s to pull it would surely be stupid expensive.

Aahm guessin torque is off the chart...

For engine crazyness have a look at open class tractor pulling, like this:

You've got things like 3 or 4 blown dragster engines, or 3 or 4 jet engines.

The best engine (imho) would have to be "Dragon Fire". 42 Cylinder. 144 litre, 8000HP+. Can I repeat that... 144 litre.

BHP (Brake Horsepower) is a calculated figure - thus:
Brake horsepower = Torque (in foot-lb) x rpm/5252

So, I'm guessing that it wouldn't be revving above about 2,500 rpm

Substituting values
400 brake horsepower = (X x 2500) / 5252

X = (5252 x 400) / 2500
Therefore torque = 840.32 ft-lb

Even more pedestrian than I first thought. Most garden variety prime movers out there on the roads pulling 2 or more trailers are producing well over 2,000 ft-lb of torque. I don't want detract from the bloke's ingenuity, but it's no impressive power house in anyone's language.

You know, I just watched it again and he says nothing about power output so I don't know where I got that from - maybe another video. My mistake sorry about that.

The thing looks like something out of Thunderbirds...

Tractor pulls are great fun.
