I don't remember the hover cars but most chicks do have huge boobs these days so they weren't too far wrong.
As for now ...
- I have an iphone with satellite navigation, direct access to the internet anytime, anywhere, high definition video, my entire CD and half my vinyl collection all scanned into it, instant access to free porn, I can download any piece of music I can think of, etc etc etc
- I have a set of kites and boards that fit in the boot of my car. I can ride in 10-40+ knots comfortably, ride bigger waves than I've encountered in 40 years of surfing etc etc etc
- I have a paraglider that I have flown to 15,000 feet and cruised along the Himalayas in warmth and comfort, top landed at a tea house for afternoon tea, then flown back to the hotel. (I also have a mini-paraglider that fits in a brief case and I can do vertical take-offs on that.)
- Every flucker under the sun has a GoPro (not sure that's a good thing)
etc, etc, etc
But do you wear your computer as a belt??
I remember well Beyond 2000 and also Towards 2000
There was also the lesser know What happened to 2000?? (they were awesome pills).
Yep, they were great shows in their time (mid-late 80s from memory). Pretty sure Amanda Keller was a reporter on B2000.
So Nebbs, did ya ask him where ya bloody hovercar was?![]()
the engine in this little bit of kit is a Turbomeca Arriell 1D1 turbine producing about 750 shaft HP. I along with another guy removed it from its original home in a helicopter here in perth back in 2008. and it was shipped to israil to finish this project.
Simon Reeve also was on it? still hosts Catalyst doesnt he on ABC (or did nebbian's video give that away - i cant see vids at work) :(
One better I could mow the lawn with this
If you want a "Flying Car", this is the real deal.
Check the full history of it and it's creator here:- www.moller.com/
It doesn't get the publicity it should because it is obviously the way of the future and it threatens the car industry.
I guess it would be beyond the memory of most here the show's predecessor, "Towards 2000".
Shyte!! There's a fogie on the forum.
