The police headquarters in Denpasar where a 14-year-old Australian boy is being detained has been evacuated following a large earthquake.
The 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the island of Bali at 11.16am local time on Thursday (2.16pm AEDT), according to the US Geological Survey.
There have been reports of roofs collapsing and cracks in building walls, but no major damage or casualties have been confirmed.
The quake hit about 100km southwest of the island and 60km beneath the ocean floor. No tsunami warning was issued.

I spoke to friends that are out at Ulu's. They were in the Warung and bolted out of there and up to the temple.
Said it was very long and loud...... and very scary. Reckons he pooped his pants and everyone there was the same.
Another friend at Jimbaran said it shook his factory hard. Scary as well.

Wifey is more of a fan of Bali than I and was there a couple of years ago when the last +6 quake hit Bali. Wifey, her sister and her mum all baled out of their rooms in gowns only to be told by the reception staff "Oh no problem etc etc"

Staying at the same hotel as wifey did a couple of years so hopefully they have extracted the digit since 09'.
