Sorry, I should not have started this when it's so obvious that wine wins hands down.

I dunno about you but I've never had a wine after work.

Hard to beat a cab sav over a big bowl of spaghetti Bog.
It's kind of a ford vs Holden topic, they both get you there, but one gets you there first!

I'd have to agree with you there but I live in a unit across the road from Burleigh.
So I don't cut grass. (or smoke it anymore)

Beer thirst - oops, first - then wine is the only way to go for me...

Quality not quantity for both

Beer AND wine... re-name the thread And... sometimes brandy, rum, vodka and gin

BTW - that's beer and wine! Not beer and whine... for the latter, "tell your story walking" is appropriate for those that think that is a good combo

I'm sorry but I did not start this thread to advocate alcohol abuse but rather to the conasuire of a fine drop.

After an all day summer windsurfing/surfing/kiting/sup sessionyou don't come it for a Shiraz.

Both have their place.

I find wine usually goes better with food however I enjoy a beer with barbecued meat, especially beef or lamb. Beer is probably more of a summer drink for me and red wine a winter drink. White wine is fine in summer or winter.

I drink both, just depending on the situation.
For beer I can't go past Peroni.
Red the drop of the moment is Murray Street Vinyards (MSV).
White is Pierro from Margs.

Beer = $50 carton

Wine = $18 chateau cardboard

Depends on the budget.

drinking wine is overrated. it offers nothing but aggravation, weariness of spirit and it makes you gain so much weight. i am so over it. and don't make me get started on the chardonnay drinking socialists...
i find gin and tonic is much healthier. it offers whimsy, ideas, pathos and a hint of metaphysics to boot.( not that premix crap in cans though.)
especially in tropics like bali. nothing beats drinking gin tonic and smocking duty free cubian cigars under the palm trees.
imo of course
oh, beer is good too.

Where do you shop at? Four litres of wine can be bought for about $12. 750ml bottles of wine can be had for $2 sometimes. Beer normally costs about $40 a carton. I used to make some home brew beer and that cost bugger all if you calculated cost per bottle.

Beer during the week. Bourbon for weekends, special occasions and at times when you are not drinking beer.

I love both but if I had to choose one or the other for the rest of my life I would go beer hands down.

I was chatting to a windsurfer the other day and he mentioned that kiters drink Tia & milk. Not sure what his point was.

Dear Simondo I assume you read my profile and made a lot of poor assumptions and had a crack at stand up paddle.
For your benefit I have edited my profile so feel free to read and comment.
