Another epic FAIL!
I know it's really mean of me but the first time I played it, it was a bit worrying.
The second time it made me laugh.
The more I played just the wipeout frames the funnier it got.
I think it was the way the skipper just suddenly departed the scene.
Wimp!

How'd you get accelerator broken from that? Looks like it was going flat stick, hit a wake, lost control, digs edge in. Lucky not to roll right over. Guy does pump the throttle a few times but I reckon it's more like 'lookat my mad skillz' than anything else.

Straight to trauma I though his cable was broken cause he seem to back of the power and nothing happened?

Bad skipper imo - as soon as he noticed that he hit that first wave...then second, he should've dropped the throttle to a safer speed. At that speed it doesn't take much to lose it by side-swiping a wake (as mentioned). He's in charge of those passengers lives & should be more responsible or at least have the skills to know that the he either needs to slow down or turn into (or off) the wake.

My old runabout had cable steering & I did a very similar thing once coming down a decent wave, although the prob was that I didn't have enough power. The boat started to turn and nearly got rolled...came very close to throwing me out of the boat!

Yep, saw that at 19secs he actually tried it twice.

^^^ Same after looking the 2nd time, so retract part of my comment (I still don't think he should've waited until the last second to avoid the incident but accidents do happen). Good reason to make sure your vessel is in good mechanical order.

It looked like the throttle got stuck or disengaged from the handle, very odd.

That could also be trim tabs. Those boats run twin throttles and twin HP tabs, so he may have actually adjusted his trim tabs. At that speed you need to lift the nose faster than back of throttle as at that speed you simply don't have reaction time.
(having said that it looks like a smaller boat that has a single driver so could very well be throttles he has his hand on)
The chick in the yellow is lucky not to have a broken jaw.

My mates fountain does a little over 90 mph and i can guarantee you are hanging on for every bit of your life

Think Miami Vice or Baywatch. Similar to a Scarab.

Actually this is a small vid that was taken from 2009 Poker run.

You'll see the fountain, mostly out the front but they would slow down for the others. Worst part was his old mans boat (yellow cat called Fourplay) was even quicker

Sorry you got my adrenaline going again

I thought id post one of my favourite offshore video's.

Just found online but have loved it long time

Watch for the turn of speed at 1.40ish..Remember he is overtaking at maybe 65 to 70 mph boats at the time.

Sorry I've thread bombed
