Apparently there is a fishing boat
of off Quinns or Hilliary's, with no one aboard,
motor still running...and hook baited..

Does not sound good to say the least..
Hope they find them..."soon"!

Empty boat triggers sea search
The West Australian November 3, 2010, 5:30 pm

A sea search is on after a boat was found with its engine running but no one onboard in the ocean off Clayton's Beach.

A police spokeswoman said a fish was still attached to a fishing rod when the 6.4m boat was found careering wildly by a jet skier about 4pm.

It is believed the jet skier brought the boat back to Mindarie marina.

Water Police and Whitfords Sea Rescue are combing the ocean near the marina.

This can not be good

I've come very close to being thrown overboard whilst cruising through rough seas...I never wear the stop/kill chord, but know I should!

VERY VERY SAD

Condolences to family and friends

The body of a Currambine fisherman missing since yesterday has been found.

The search for the 56-year-old resumed this morning after his boat was found near Mindarie with no-one on board and its engine running.

The man’s body was spotted from a helicopter about 18km off the Mindarie Marina about 7am after a major sea, land and air search.

A police spokeswoman said a fish was still attached to a fishing rod when the 6.4m vessel was found by a jet-skier about 4pm yesterday off Claytons Beach.

Eight vessels from Water Police, Whitfords Sea Rescue and Fremantle Sea Rescue, two helicopters and a plane combed the ocean last night and a search this morning made the tragic find a short time ago near the Mindarie marina.

The man was described by police as a fit, experienced swimmer.
