You can. Start a bank and demand government protection. Privatise the profits and socialise the losses. Pay off MPs by giving them cushy jobs that pay $200k a year after they retire from parliament on a $150k a year pension plus fringe benefits.

It's good to know what our taxes are spent on, keeping the powers that be in the lifestyle they have become accustomed to.

As far as mortgages go, the banks are offering you a service.. Don't like the service, then there is an easy solution, try saving up the $500k+ and buy your house outright.. Thing is, you won't do that because it's so much easier to get a mortgage like the rest of the drones and complain when the terms and conditions you accepted don't match your lifestyle anymore.. Blame the entity that offered you the service that you both wanted and willingly accepted, because complaining is so much easier..

As a disclaimer i am a bit drunk and shouldn't be posting..
