A Cubby is a small building usually found in the backyard sometimes in a tree nook-a place where kidz can sneak away to and play to their heart's content.
Toys can be found in these places , rascal behaviour can also be expected in these places and sometimes little Johnny gets his first ever kiss with Nicola the neighbour.
Every kid should really have a Cubby in their backyard

Cubbie Station apparently had a couple of hundred million dollar debts. Amazing they can borrow that much money.

In a way its not that bad for foreigners to buy up farms. They cannot take the farms back to their country. Investing in farms will bring jobs for Australians. Without foreign investment Australia would be much poorer than it is now.

Cubbie Station received allot of citicism about how much water they draw out of the rivers. However its ill received criticism. Like all farms using irrigation they will store water when there is an excess of water due to a lot of rain. They will use that excess in dry times.

The federal government has apparently spent billions to ensure the Murray Darling rivers flow. However what happens if it doesn't rain for 15 years? No amount of money will get the rivers flowing then. If it rains like it did for the last few years then no amount of money will stop the rivers from flowing. To me it seems like a huge waste of money. The rivers will flow when it rains. They won't flow when it doesn't rain.

Some people do well out of all these billions while the tax payer continues to be be slugged because of incompetent decisions. This is the typical situation of the rent seeking economy as Australia is turning into. Its pretty sad and unfortunately most Australians are paying for it as time goes on with reduced public services, higher taxes and poorer outcomes.
