Camping around Sydney

Looking to get away for a few days. Somewhere within a few hours drive of the city, on the beach of course but not overly fussed about wave quality.

Is it just me or are national parks in the area stupidly expensive!

Thanks for any tips, obviously not expecting your secret spot but you can always pm that one too me.

Hawks nest/ tea gardens. Used to go every school holidays. It was always fun and there is heaps to do. Snorkel in the bay, surf on the ocean beaches, muck around on the dunes or just go hiking...
