How are the fishos going catching fish? not had too mouch luck lately in the bay. Went to eden for a few day and caught more than a dozen flat head.
PF Bay?
If you mean Port Phillip (Filip), then yep - never catch anything there if you are shore based..... or a mad fisho watching the barometer and knowing everything there is to know.....
Up QLD the fish hit all the time... down here.... zipo...
Eden would be a great spot....
Fish are hard to find down here..... I hear that Western Port can be good. I recon you need a boat, fish finder and plenty of time... and local knowledge....
Have been in Exmouth for almost 4 mths now , and wish we moved here years ago.
mackeral, tuna, GT's Jacks all caught during the last 2 weeks..![]()
But the best is being able to go down the beach after work for a few beers , and throw the net and get in excess of 20 yellowfin whiting in one throw.![]()
The limit is 40 per person, I throw back more than I keep.
Wish more would do the same![]()
Crumbed whiting mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm![]()
After the last couple of weeks , the only fishing now will be catch and release, tis all good![]()
4hrs West MN - Kings, snapper, whiting, shark, bream...targeting a shark, snapper & hopefully a few mulloway off the beach tonight after work - freezer is empty!
Save some money, support your local chip shop,
No bait to buy, fuel to pay for, ramp fees, trying to find a carpark,
Servicing of your boat, cleaning down afterwards, flushing of the engine
All for what, a couple of scroungy flathead that you have to throw back,
$20 will buy all you can eat, cooked to your satisfaction
And there isnt even any dishes to be done,
Why would you bother ?
I've been fishing Port Phillip bay and this season has been great.
A couple weeks ago it was one flatty after the other.
Caught enough for a decent meal for my family (around 1.5kg tails).
