I know that in my case, hearing the term "Sea Kitten" just makes me even more hungry.
PETA claim fish had a bad marketing person cos they are slimy and so on.

Considering the Cantonese for chicken is gai, and that is the slang for prostitutes in Cantonese too, then naming doesn't make much difference. Chinese love chicken.
Sea Kitten and Chips sounds......well.......lame. Makes me thing of horrible acts committed against unwanted Kittens involving the ocean, some string and large stones.
Well, that or a 1970's avant garde porn movie set in a European seaside town filled with nubile young women that may/may not have involved Eels.
It would make more sense calling them 'salty turds' if they don't want people to go near them.
