Just scored a bucket load of DVDs, however a majority of them are blocked by Cinavia.
Is there anyway of getting around this block on PS3 or a Samsung Bluray? I've tried a couple of different things like changing the date settings and changing the audio output settings but nothing has worked yet.
Any valid ideas would be appriciated.

Cheers!

I don't think there is a way around it, I have tried a few ways that people say works without luck. To watch cinavia protected stuff, I use my laptop and connect it to my tv.

You got the DVD's for free, shell out $20 for the cheapest DVD player you can find?

Correct Kiteboy. Used an 'old' dvd player in another room and works like a charm. It slightly froze in a few places but it seems that the old technology didn't recognise the Cinavia block and played through it. Goes to show that cheap players can out do the more expensive ones when needed.

Cheers!

I found a solution for Cinavia on ww1.dvd2hd.com They have released their prototype called CinEx. A great software and it works. Got it from myce.com where they confirmed it after testing it. So no bypass or hooking, just removing Cinavia.

^^^Are you a wind or kite surfer... Or salesman? First post plugs don't usually go down very well here.... Become a site sponsor if you want to advertise.

Re DVD's it was always ironic the priciest ones give the most problems, the cheapest ones do it all with no fuss...
