EFFED.

Ok so we may all remember the guy who apparently predicted the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, Mitchell Combes?

Story is that he posted a 104 hour countdown to the Japan earthquake and got it 100% correct. Different thoughts and ideas circulate as to whether that was a legit prediction or not.

Nonetheless he has just posted his first real prediciton since the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and if he is correct, we are in for a massive global incident very shortly. Here is what he posted recently on his Facebook page:

Ok everyone, you've been warned of what's to come, we are getting extremely close to the 104 hour tsunami warning. I strongly advise that if you live on the east coast of NSW and west coast of USA, have your evacuation gear ready to go as soon as possible. I said on March 11 that California would be next after Japan's countdown... Sydney's earthquake will be magnitude 9.5, California's earthquake will be magnitude 9.6, followed by two 9.4's, all of these tsunamis will be created in the same exact hour.

When asked how far inland these tsunamis would reach and when exactly he will give his 104 hour countdown he replied, "70 miles inland. Days..."

He is describing an unprecedented event that would pretty much change the face of the planet - if correct, nothing to be taken lightly.

Make of it what you will, just thought it could be handy to post in here, just in case. Me personally, i'm not buying it. NOt saying he is being sinister or intentionally misleading, but i just dont think it will happen.

What does everyone think? And remember, i'm not a 'follower' or brainwashed or anything, just re-posting some interesting info.

As for the connection to HAARP:

This is what Coombes says:HAARP work[s] with 4 regional color schemes- black, red, yellow and green. Black means the tsunami is within 104 hours. Red means the tsunami is near. Yellow means we still have a little while to go. Green is no danger. Most of 2011 we were in the yellow but now they have changed to the color red.

If it is the same Mitchell Coombes he seems to be trying to sell 'shows' at :

North Sydney Aug 24
Campbelltown Sept 7
Penrith Oct 7

Seems interesting venues if you belive 70km of the NSW coast is about to be wiped out in the next couple of months.

If it is a different Mitchell Coombes, then this one is a hoax, becuase he can't even predict that his forthcoming talks are going to get a bit soggy.

Thats a big arse quake given Sydney is not on a fault line.

After reading page after page regarding this it appears we have exactly 55hrs left@11:30pm 9/8/12 before this occurs.

Apparently he does not base it on any of the powers that be. He does it buy using HAARM signatures data and is skilled in working it all out.

Lots and lots of pages about god and other babble garbage come up. I'm not convinced.
I did find the information for earthquakes quiet interesting.

edit: just found out there was a small earthquake just out of sydney a few days back.

And a quake in Sydney would make waves heading east ie: away

70 miles inland?

Past the first range of the Blue Mtn's

Could be a bit messy although might do wonders for the Sydney traffic

Co-incidentally, I read this last night and it was quite enjoyable, I would possibly buy the book if I saw it.

I understand that the REALLY BIG quakes happen along the fault lines. For example;
- Indonesia has a plate/fault line to its South
- Japan has a number of plates to the east
- North America has a fault line right down the Western Seaboard.
- fault line virtually under Christchurch, and down the eastern side of NZ
- Himalayas are a result of 2 plates pushing together, and pushing up.

I'm just saying that basically any quake around Sydney at 8.0+ would be extremely unlikely.

Newcastle's quake in 1989 was about 5.6, and even though it did a reasonable amount of damage, its because Newcastle was not built to withstand quakes.

Gippsalnd Victoria has also had some "strong" earthquakes lately. "Strong" for them and Melbourne folk, at circa 5.2 or 5.4... in that ball-park anyway.

I've felt 5's in Japan. Realistically, they are just a fun little wake-up call, time to disco! If you're on the beers, you would lean over to your mate and say, "Wow these beers are really hitting the spot today, they are rocking my world!"....

However, a big/decent quake between the Pacific Plate and Australian Plate should be considered as "likely", at some point over the next few years. But, many quakes don't create a tsunami, plus this fault line is mostly 2000-3000km away from Australia. And the effects of a "tidal wave" would be greatly reduced by the time it arrived.

I understand that Eastern Australia has had almost no tsunami activity in history, however I remember a guy telling me about some geology research in The Flinders Islands near Tassie, and that there is records of some dirty big boulders from the sea shore sitting a reasonable distance up the hills, and suggestions that a decent tsunami event put them there !!

PS - if a decent "wave" hit Sydney.... Houses right on the beach at Whale Beach, and Bungan would be totally screwed!! They will get hit with the incoming wave, and the outgoing wave!!

I was on the beers in Brissy a while back, with a work colleague, and she told me about her horrific ordeal on Phi Phi Island when the Tsunami struck. Small "crescent bays" like Phi Phi, Whale Beach, and Bungan, get absolutely SLAUGHTERED by Tsunamis. The headlands channel the forces into those middle beach sections.

i'm no geophysimolologist, but i don't think it's necessarily the magnitude that does the damage as much as the location & type- how far underground, what sort of plates are involved, how they move against each other (up & down, sideways, over/under).

Spot on Stamp. Distance underground is a huge factor.
Agree totally on plate movement too. Saw a good doco once... Sometimes one plate can stay reasonably still, and the other plate can slip under = no tsunami. Another time, plates push together, and both plates suddenly pop up = big tsunami! Other times, the quake can be 70km underground...

5.3 at 10km under your bum = some serious disco, shake rattle and roll.
5.3 at 70km under your bum = sitting on train rattling along, and passing through a turn-out... not much fun!

I scored 2 x Low 5's within a week in Japan... Had so many quakes in Japan, we could talk about whether they side slippers or up and down jumpers.
