It will be interesting to see if "Indian Magic" delivers again.

I spent a month in India in 2008 and everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

But, by waiting patiently and with a little persistence everything sorted itself out so that the end result was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. It was amazing.

From what Ive read there is a multitude of problems, I think most teams will pull out. Im not really into athletics but it would be a shame if it didnt go ahead.

Sth Africa managed to run a very successful world cup. They've got no excuse if they stuff this one up.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - A footbridge being built for the Commonwealth Games in India collapsed on Tuesday, injuring 27 people and highlighting the raft of problems that have so far blighted the event, meant to showcase an emerging global power.

Police said the collapsed bridge was just outside the main stadium, a reminder of India's sometimes-lax building standards.

A guy I work with went back home to help out with the games - I think he was in charge of footbridge construction.

Wonderful for you but I dunno how that would work out for those on the bus last week who went down in a hail of automatic gunfire - cos they dared to be white.
Or those on the collapsed shonky footbridge

Lets be realistic - would we have the Olympics in Iraq, Afghanistan or Iran?

I think a commonwealth country needs to show they've joined the 21st century to be able to host the games

any athetes who are injured should go down the unsafe workplace path??
