Take up a windsport. Then you won't be complaining about the wind. Leave paddling for calm days, we get plenty of windless days.
Paddling when its windy looks like hard work. The Hawaiians rigged sails on their outriggers and did not paddle when it was windy. They sailed.
And anyway, if you really are Hercules, a bit of wind shouldn't be any bother surely?
