Jeff hates threaded discussions. I much prefer threaded discussions. This doesn't have threaded discussions.

...that said I like that SeaBreeze doesn't have threaded discussions. It's kinda just "BLAH!" old-skool, and everybody's voice is equal.

edit: I actually prefer Seabreeze's super-simple forum over this. It's so easy to read a child can do it.

We get guys in here at work that are tasked to build an application or extension and they spend hundreds of hours building fully customisable, OO, design-patterned, extensible monsters, with factories and facades using SOA and SOAP and Web Services and so on and so on and so on, and the damn thing is so ridiculously over-the-top that nobody but them actually knows how to even begin configuring it, and there are a zillion places for bugs to live, and then when it comes time to test it it fails when a slight change is made to the requirements because "we never considered that might change... that's a lot of work", and they thought it was so flexible but it was actually so very, very brittle and then when they leave we politely replace it all with about 2 day's work and everyone is happy.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

How about tryng it on GPSTC - would love a running forum. Whilst seabreeze has been the GPSTC's default forum entity I reckon there's a heap of GPSTCers who don't use SB (anymore).

Edit - I've just had a play in it and for a tech ignoramus like myself, that is pretty damn cool.
