its this time of year when i take a moment to reflect, that chocolate should always be in egg form

I'm not a religious person, neither am I against religion (each to their own) but I want to know why the date of Easter changes every year, when Christmas is the same (25 December ) every year? From what I know, it has something to do with the equinox and the passover, but didn't the crucifixion happen on an actual date?
PS. I love the fact that I have two boys who are 2 of 3 total grandchildren in our family, therefore, as a chocaholic, Easter is awesome for me!!!

mytchook, tobes is right, Easter, like Christmas, has nothing to do with that bloke who might have lived 2000 years ago. Instead, both are Pagan festivals that the 'church' tried to ban, couldnt, so instead made up an event to correspond with the time of celebration. Still, cant complain with a holiday, even if you dont understand why we have it!
Yes, Easter has to always be on a full moon, so they get good waves for the Bells Beach Easter surf comp.
Easty, I have also noticed that there are alot of fishing competitions around on this long weekend..... Hmmmm....
And yes Cal, it is just nice to have a four day weekend.... Hee hee.. My weekend is going to last for 11 days!!! I love holidays!!!

I think we should maintain Easter as a Christian festival, all this focus on eggs and bunnies is perverse, bilbies are equally inappropriate, you should be giving your lived ones chocolate crucifixes
