I teen child (insert name here ) of mother/father( insert name here ) pledge that rather than buying useless socks/jocks/flowers on this one day of the year ( invented by american business interests looking for another way to make a $$) and being nice on this one day of the year and bringing mother/father (insert name here) a cup of tea and burnt toast ,I teen child(insert name here ) will on every other day of the year endeavour and indeed promise to be civil and nice and not complain about how hard done by I am and that I will not seeth with resentment when I don't get my own way on every occasion.
