Filter to ignore users.

Is it possible to have some setting so all posts from certain users are ignored (not shown to you) when logged on.

I know the old newsgroups and chat channels (showing my age now) used to have such things.

I think it would be a nice feature, there are some posters I would rather not ever see anything from !

Speaking of filtering posters, it would be good if a poster who was filtered got a notice something like
"You have been filtered by n users" just so they know which way the wind blows.

If I'm one of the users who anyone like to filter my posts I rather know people blocking my posts that I can review my tune!

But again I would think that if someone say something that you are not happy with it's better that you send a pm and explain your point of view.

At the end of the day we are all here to learn something

I think the thumbs pretty much does it.
Even the dull and ignorant can have a point of view.
