Mechanic delivered my Mazda E2200 1984 van , 48500 kms back today after six months ,. All that was wrong was brocken tooth on fith gear which meant
new gearbox.

Hard to find this type of g.. box to match ( no spare parts ) , finally
found g.. box from 1996 model as still using same motor 10 years later.

Glad it was not in peak of windsurfing season , what is the longest anybody has waited 4
van / car repair ?

Mazda have been having a problem with the 5th gear and bearing for almost as long as they have been making 5 speed boxes, that's why they are hard to find.

From the thread title I thought you were talking about Vans shoes.
