Never been offshore fishing, looking to head out for a day with the old man. Has anyone had a good experience with a charter on the Sunny or Gold coasts, pm me with recommendations Please 
I haven't been out with them but there are a couple of guys go out of the commercial marina at tweed heads.
I have heard some good things about them though. A friend went out with reel fishen and because of rough weather and lack of fish....they took him out again a week or so later for free.
There are a couple of reefs and sea mounts not very far offshore that fish well.
I have been planning to go when the weather warms up a bit as I finally worked out that for the charter fee, you usually get enough fish to make it worthwhile. I only have a little tinny, but fuel, bait, beer, ice....etc adds up pretty close to charter fee, and you catch fish!
