Had to do some shopping earlier and had a quick look around.
The first picture is at Youngs Crossing almost 6-8mt under already.

Shouldn't this be in the "Heavy Weather" thread?

I love the way they need to put up a sign to warn people of the bleeding obvious. "WATER OVER ROAD".
Geez! Really? Is that what it is? I would never have guessed.
It's like when we burn off the road verge on the farm.
Huge clouds of smoke billowing everywhere which you can see from kilometres away, but we are required to put up a sign on the side of road which says "CAUTION. BURNING OFF".
And if there's not a sign up and someone has an accident in the smoke, apparently it would be all my fault because there wasn't a warning sign.
If someone is so dumb that they can't correlate smoke with reduced visibility and a requirement to reduce speed then they probably can't read anyway so what's the point.?
But yes, people are that dumb. Even with all the smoke AND a sign, they still flog through it at 90km/hr.

Without being obvious I would think the signs are far enough away from the problem so that you get the heads up at night - it's little extra warning for when it's dark. Probably works with the smoke issue as well - doesn't hurt "to be sure to be sure".

Well that's what I thought it was about anyway - I could be wrong....

Back on topic, here's one I took at Brighton today. Risked my phone, drenched it. Still working.
