CJ-6A Nanchang most likely operated by fighter combat international . I take it you are probably somewhere south like jandakot or more towards rocko ?

First one is definitely Nanchangs. I have seen those Paragliders off Cott Beach. IIRC Cott is a published Hanglider (not that I've seen a glider there) launch site..

Avalon, they went South then about 1/2hr later flew back north, could they have got to Bunbury in that time?
Edit wikipedia says top speed 300km/hr, so they could have done that.

the school operates three nanchangs i think . I took a flight in one of them a few years ago . Slow but good fun .

there was a bunch of these nanchangs brought into the country a few years back- supposed to be pretty good and robust machines,
IIRC a couple of them had to get complete zero time overhals as the logbooks had been censored- common opinion was they had been used for cross border black-ops incursions and spy drops.

wouldnt mind going for a spin in one myself

when I worked at scabs, there used to be a pair of those powered parachute things doing low level flypasts [more likely perving]

found out later the regiment were training with them and using them at bougainville - but they were flying too low and slow to be safe.
Last I saw, they were in the regiment museum, along with some other cool toys [who would have thought the military needs gokarts!]
