Have used the search function on here and haven't found any other postings of this.

Apparently about a year ago some one surfing at Snapper lost their Go Pro and it has been found - wedged under a rock at the seaway - Southport! A bloke who does the dive report on Coast FM in the mornings found it and in his bid to work out who owns it, he opened it to get the pictures and it still works!

So if its yours, best you ring Coast FM and they will be able to put you in touch with the guy that found it!

Yeah, be good promo material for them, but the lost bit might be a sticking point!

AquaPlow, good idea. Did you just copy a text file to the SD card? or some other method?

Hi skid..
Good idea - well depends...

If you only use PC to clean up the SD card after of loading shots etc then all ok.
i.e you control what is left on the card. Your call text file and/or Jpeg is best.

If you ever use the SET menu function on the GOPRO to delete all - it does the equivalent of a hi-level format and then writes the 3 folders back onto the card - so anything on the card is effectively gone without doing a forensic recovery!!

I try to ID all my kit - since I flog it to death before replacing!!!

Cheers
