I don't think I have ever agreed with pweedamac33 on anything yet, but I think I might on this one.
The contents of the "poison" thread should be well known to everyone by now so it's easy enough to avoid if you're not in the mood for it.
It did provide some light entertainment for those who like taking the pith out of things from time to time.
(not that that would be me of course )

Mr Galah sir, I think you should get your master key and take the lock off.
You can keep it in your pocket maybe in case things turn hostile or violent, but so far, in the last two years that has not been the case.
signed,
Yours sincerely
Pweedas.

Pwee you could not have left the poison thread up after the conspiracy ban - it was just missed when all the conspiracy threads were locked.
If it was left up, there would be whinging from the usual 3 that their threads were locked and this one wasn't.

There are plenty of places to express opinions about conspiracy stuff on the internet (conspiracy stuff is probably second only to porno on the web!!) and the rule here is keep it fun and if it causes too many arguments it is gone. Fair enuf too

Peter,

The rules were explained to all of us. So go complain to plastic Ronald McDonald at the local maccas. At least he'll look like he cares.

Personally I find the thread on backyard cricket and Nissan Patrols to be bordering on bordering on conspiracies. They should be examined and possibly locked.

The backyard cricket is a conspiracy due the fact that backyard cricket is becoming much less common due housing development by English real estate companies. This conspiracy is having the desired effect on the Australian cricket team.

The Nissan Patrol thread is also a conspiracy. Unknown and powerful forces want to limit our ability to purchase reliable all terrain vehicles, thereby rendering us immobile and always under survellance. As the American federal government is clearly the leader in covert black ops and high tech snooping, there is a causal link between this need to render us immobile and the unreliability of four wheel drives.

Will the moderators consider locking these threads?

I'm also concerned with people using GPSes and cameras to document their windsurfing exploits. There will come a time when it becomes a requirement to use such devices with the data sent directly to databases that keep track of our every movement.

As the storage capacity of server farms continues to increase without let up we have the situation of infinite storage capacity at the fingertips of unknown forces who use faceless beaureacratic minions to do their work.

What data are unknown forces getting off the ubquitous smartphone? Clearly such technology is only released when our overlords have the ability to use the data these devices collect.

every suppressed or expunged word reverberates through the earth from side to side."

Ralph Waldo Emerson did not say

"Every means to share information shall be free for all to cut and paste meaningless and irrelevant **** about American subway recipes from all corners of the internet and then to go into a long diatribe about whether masturbation causes blindness"

Do not confuse the deletion of your pathetic ramblings with censorship. It is not censorship, merely a quick polish to remove the traces of ****e from an otherwise good forum.

"Lack of any focus, critical thinking or intelligent judgement is as much of a threat to democracy as deleting threads off this forum", Ralph Someone or other

There are places where you can post about conspiracy theories unperturbed. I suggest they would be a good place to start.

Apparently that is the case when it upsets some people's intellectual comfort zones.

The catch cry is "Keep it Fun".

I think it is great FUN watching the pros and antis barking at each other when a controversial subject is raised.

Is this not what forums exist for?? Especially ones that have the heading "General Discussion" or "Shooting the Breeze". Has the "Breeze" shot itself in it's moral foot??

What he said ^^^^^^

But I did wonder why PM33 went right off the track in the subway thread and started going on a weird tangent about wanking making you blind ??
That was in itself quite bonkers I thought?

Every man, woman and child on planet earth (and beyond) who registers for an account with seabreeze is free to post whatever they want ever they want on provided they stay within the site rules. Every user here agreed to adhere to the rules and any updates to the rules.

The site rules are designed to keep this website safe, interesting positive and relevant.

www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Help/ForumRules.aspx

Recently "conspiracy" related discussions were deemed to be "off topic" for this forum, and as such will be removed. This rule change was clearly communicated and was made because the vast majority of forum users are not interested in seeing conspiracy discussions on seabreeze.

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/General-Discussion/Chat/Conspiracy-Free-Forums/

I'm a little bit surprised that some folks can't accept this. Are these the same people who go to the beach on a busy day and insist on playing their brand of music loud enough to hear 2 suburbs over to "enlighten" others? Or those who park in disabled parking spots just because they will "only be 5 minutes"?

There are plenty of forums accepting of conspiracy discussions, and indeed many more dedicated to conspiracy discussions. Feel free to use them...

PS: If you re-read the forum rules you will also see that "complaints about moderation" should be deleted. Given this is not the first time that the same complaint about the same clear issue has been posted I would suggest we have already let you have your freedom well beyond what the rules say you are entitled to. Be careful what you wish for...
