I have a house with tenants in it. It has solar panels and the old tariff rebate rate (higher). The tenants pay the bill and receive the benefit of the rebate.
I am moving into the house soon. So the system is mine and installed prior to the reduction in the rebate. When I start paying the bill which rebate will I be entitled to?
Who's name is on the bill?When you change the 'biller' name, the old rebate no longer applies.
So, if it is all in your name, the rebate remains.
so im thinking of buying a investment house via NRAS should i get panels put on a new built house or a pool im thinking a pool could be much to much trouble any thoughts??

theoretically you should get the rebate.
weve worked out that if we sell our house the "deal "with the rebate goes with the house until the end of the 10 years.
i would now go and read all the paperwork carefully tho

Existing scheme customers will continue to receive 44 cents per kilowatt hour for all surplus electricity supplied to the Queensland electricity network, provided they maintain their eligibility to the scheme. Under changes to legislation which took effect on 23 November 2012, your eligibility for the 44 cent feed-in tariff will lapse if you:
?change the name on the electricity account for the premises at which the solar power system is installed to another person (except when the name change occurs directly between spouses).
?fail to ready your approved inverter energy system for connection to the network by 30 June 2013.
I don't know about the other states..
