maybe for surfboards only though..... I can see a board subjected to jumping may develop a bit of slop in those joints pretty quickly
OTOH it works for fighter plane wings so I guess it is just a case of how much are you willing to pay to have it work.....

Maybe not so great having join in middle of a windsurf board, but maybe a replaceable nose section on a beginners / freestyleride board could be a good idea i.e. the manufacturer provides you with two nose sections - one made of a soft flexible material for those so inclined to regularly catapult, and the other to match the board construction once skill level has improved.
This could double the life of a board..........hang on, manufacturers wouldn't want that now
i can just see going through customs
