After many years involved in the ocean from triathlons to sailing its great to find this forum for like minded peoples, I have been associated with the Bay for several years and before that Redcliffe Peninsula I dare not live to far from the water as Im scared what would happen to me ..
I have nothing major or important to write about just saying Hi! and hope to read more of the sailing and fishing Posts

G'day. Why didn't they spell Hervey Bay with an a ?
Cause it's always pronounced Harvey Bay.

Pronunciation of Hervey Bay is nothing, I moved to WA and they've got a place called Cockburn that they try to tell me is pronounced coburn. -yeah right, I always say, how many words in the English language have 2 silent letters beside each other? It's C O C K B U R N.
My mate asked all around london how to get to 'lice-ester square'.
Eventualy someone told him it's "lester square".
