Eagles to be better next year I guess. Not too bad from wooden spooners. Geelong are wonderful to watch. Interesting watching Selwood passing to Selwood. Selwood did some good shepherding and clearly beat Selwood on occasions. All up I thought Selwood played well. Selwood wasted some chances and Selwood will do better in future.
Always gooooooooood to see the West Coast Amphetameagles cop a flogging though ......

probably the worst game Eagles have played all year. they looked rattled and uncomposed from the start.
Not taking anything at all away from Geeelong. They are the best team goin around for my 2c
Eagles should be in the mix for GF again next year.

1) Geelong refusing to revise the crappy contract deal * (see below)
2) Money, provided mostly by the AFL
3) Selwood's obvious stature in the club, and Ablett's belief in himself to lead...
* a previous manager (not Liam Pickering) put in place a poor deal (with hind sight). Liam's work with Gary at Geelong amounted to next to nothing... But that was mostly to do with Geelong's refusal to renegotiate the previous bad deal... But that deal was probably OK at first, but G Ablett Jnr became the best player in the league during the contract term...

Hiya there min1 ...... they're not worth having a problem , just that we're all tired and totally over a "team" taking precedence over the elderly getting their homes invaded & being bashed senseless , cost of living pressures , families struggling to cope etc etc
and look it's not that I'm from the other side that's on scene in WA either (to be honest I'd rather go to a local league game and do the righty by the Grass Roots level eh!)
Real Pity we only have one newspaper in WA and that Channel 7 (perth) seems to be in on the whole caper as well ....

Sorry to put a downer on things WCE fans but your side over achieved this season and dont be disapointed if ya end up back where ya belong next year.
Cox and Kerr looked spent and struggled to finish the season with the same form as they were praised about all year. Need to be better managed next year so they can reach peak near the finals(if they make it again)
