I just watched Annabelle Crabbes latest "cooking show" offering on ABC 2 with Joe hockey at his share house . What a great show .Joe was a really good sport and offered some great insights (I get the impression that beyond the odd Barbie Joe mainly eats out .) It was a ral hoot and I and my 18 year old daughter who watched it with me really enjoyed it. Personally I feel that Joe has been a good performer in his portfolios and has often been thrown a poison chalice on many occasions .I hope that Joe can deal with his shortcomings and rise to the challenge at some time of becoming part of a beacon of hope in the quagmire that is current so called "Liberal" politics . (I note with interest that Joe shared with the viewers that Tony Abbot once gave him a shiner)

He seems like a nice guy, but I'm not convinced he's the sharpest tool in the box. Certainly hasn't shone as an economic whizz.

I think I'd prefer him as Liberal leader over the Mad Monk. I think I'd prefer Malcolm Turnbull even more, but he certainly is easier to listen to than Abbott.

Listening to Joe doesn't fill me with rage. Neither does Turnbull or Rudd.

Listening to Abbott, Pyne, or a number of other Libs does fill me with rage.

Normal Julia fills me with rage. Angry Julia gives me little tingles.

+1 I used to enjoy Joe & K-Rudd's segment on Sunrise. Mostly politics, but with a fair bit of fun-poking also. I got the feeling that if they weren't on opposite sides of the political fence, they would probably be mates. He doesn't have that 'controlled' political speech/accent that many do & comes across as a genuine guy.

That said, not sure about him as PM?

Wouldn't surprise me if there's a leadership coup and Joe leads the liberals into the next election.

Abbott is not very palatable to the electorate and he's pretty much blown every attempt to expose labors many shortcomings. Turnbulls more left than labor.

What about Julie Bishop? Sexier than Julia I reckon.

Julia V Julie next year ??? That would be freaky!!

I reckon there's no way the Libs will take the chance of going to another Election with Abbott.

They should have won the last one but people do not like Abbott, he's loose and comes across as a fool.

I reckon they'll wait for the perfect moment and then switch him out in a tactical way. If they put in Turnbull even the Labor voters would switch. They'd shoo it in.

You could be right there. Abbotts blown it. If Turnbull was acceptable he'd already be leader (even if he only lost by 1 vote - which may or may not have been Peter Slippers [}:)]).
Julie is my local member. I'm afraid of her.
Yeah Joe would be acceptable. But then a stick would be more acceptable than TA right now. Actually that's not a bad idea - inanimate objects in parliament, on both sides. Couldn't be any worse.

How about just getting a bunch of sticks and sticking them on every seat in parliament?

Hockey comes across like a real estate agent. I think that is the family business.
