Here's the thing, people are happy to doante their heart but not their brain.

In the UK......

* 63% are comfortable donating a heart.
* 65% are comfortable donating a kidney.
* 7% of adults are comfortable with the idea of brain donation.
* 26% of people are worried about causing distress to their family.

I wonder why.
I did think well when i die i'm going to donate my brain. Then i thought WOAH what if there is some way that they could infiltrate my thoughts and have a scan through my w@nk bank of stored images.

So i join the 93% of people uncomfortable with giving up my brain.

Anyone?????

From those I deal with, I think only about 7% of brains would be at all useful for scientific study.
At best.

Things have a habit of being 'just right' huh?

Interesting stats and I might and possibly relate to the 7% . Any stats on Aus or any other communitys?

On the other hand, you might just get a new body. Just think, get transplanted into a nice hot females body and you could get in front of a mirror and wank to your hearts content. Multiple orgasms as well.

I've read that the percentages vary enormously from country-to-country because of how the question is worded.

"Tick the box if you do not want to donate your organs"
vs
"Tick the box if you do want to donate your organs"

Seriously. It's called 'framing the question' or 'default behaviour'. You will usually pick whatever is easiest, in this case not ticking the box/doing anything/default.

Eeeyyyeeewww.. wish i hadn't searched that! The description was enough ta - didn't need to see it thank gawd!

Science can have the brain cells that stored that info. As bad as nun & priest that I was duped into viewing horror a few yrs ago.

BTW - Panda is spot on. Framing the question makes a big diff.
