I am tossing up whether to add the chest mount strap to my allready long list of accessories.
Does anybody use it regularly ?
I have the helmet strap which I believe gives a better view overall as well as front & rear mounts on the Sup. Just concerned if the upper paddling arm gets in the way of the view.
Any vids ?

Cheers

Nah! Just put Velcro under the base and attach to your hairy chest!

Hi Scotty,
Ive used the Chesty a bit..mainly on the bigger windsurf gear....Its not a bad angle but your head is still the most stable part of your body when your wave riding or planing.
Rather than having it point forward, I made a mount which allowed me to easily flip the camera either left or right so I could get a down the line shot regardless of whether or not I was on a port or starboard tack.
cheers,
Mick

Cheers Mick,
I generally use it for flatwater paddling.
Do you reckon it's worth it or just stick with the helmet strap ?
Cheers Scotty

Hi Scotty,

Are you able to provide a comparison shot?

Maybe a tasteful nude pic of yourself in all your glory wearing the chest mount and the "allready long list of accessories"

And a pic of you with just your helmet strap on? I don't mind if you photoshop it to remove your "tuck shop" arms.

Good Evening Adolf,
I don't think my nude pic would be tastefull but if you are interested in seeing a man in the nude, then check out the post of the guy looking for a tennis playing partner in this forum. That could be promising for you.

You were the one asking for advice. What was your problem again?

Nah, IMHO I don't reckon you'd get anything worth the spend...reckon the helmet is a better angle...mounting off your paddle is also pretty cool for getting some height into your shots.
cheers,
