Recently discovered the world of podcasts. So far Ive got dan carlins hardcore history and common sense, joe rogan ( depending on who he's talking to) and bbc docs. Anyone found any other good ones?

Absolutely, without a doubt, RadioLab has been the best sciencey podcast on the internet for years.

Love this. Things I never thought would be interesting completely changed when I started to listen Mr Fidler and his conversations.

Conversations with Richard Fidler - 11.00am everyday on ABC Radio.

Some amazing stories - Bob McTavish, Brian Ritchie (bass player from Violent Femmes / The Break) Gavin Dear are all worth listening to

My drive to and from work is around 1.5hrs, with all this election BS going on they are my little piece of sanity in the car. As well as those mentioned above (radiolab is awesome) here are some of my other favourites.

NPR planet money
abc future tense
bbc peter days world of business
abc late night live (phillip adams)
BBC documentary archive

so many podcasts, so little time!

You can't get it for free mark. Those wirelesses need electricity, unless you're using a hand crank.

And then if you want to listen to the episode at a time that suits you you'll have to buy a tape, and good luck finding one of those.

Alternately you can press the play button on your newfangled podcast player.

computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/basics/podcasting.htm

...pretty much everything I watch or listen to is a podcast, be it a YouTube channel like the America's Cup or a TV series on the AppleTV, a blog/rss feed, or a more traditional, actual podcast. I can't remember the last time I had to tune in at a certain time. Must be years. And now the range of offerings is huge.

...and if you don't use up your internet allowance then you've wasted it. If you only use half you've effectively paid double for it.
