Guys,

Through one of my work suppliers I have access to 200gsm plain weave carbon at 1000mm wide and a wide variety of uni carbon fibre from 150gsm up to 600gsm at 500mm wide. The fibres are standard modulus 230GPa, 4.5 GPa strength and are perfect for board making especially the 200gsm plain weave.
200gsm plain weave would be around $35-40/ sqm depending on how much you wanted and the uni would vary from $30-50/sqm depending on fibre weight. At this stage I am only thinking about bringing some in but I would be interested to see if there is much demand. I have a strong interest in expanding the use of composites and frankly from what I have seen, WA suppliers charge a lot for fibre.
I know my composites being a professional composites engineer and this stuff is good quality. If people want details, certificates of conformance, QA docs, specific details of fibre types etc I can provide them however at this stage I am just looking at interest. Please feel free to leave details here and I can PM you or vice versa.

Thanks Laurence

The uni sounds like it might be good for fins, I could be in for a few metres, I'd be in the plain weave as well, but I've got enough for the immediate future.
