I am in a suburb (Yanchep WA) with a population made of 80% English and Kiwis maybe 0.01% muslim, We had no lunch bar around and then H&H (Harris & the Boys) open one outlet. Was very happy and went to get a pizza the guy told me I could not have bacon or ham on it because the shop was halals WTF?????? how could they dictate what I should eat or not ??? the guy said I have mock bacon (sheep treated to taste like pork) I said ok. Went home with my pizza had a bite and nearly vomited had to put it in the bin, never went back..... It is me or are they a bit arrogant???? They lost me and most of the customers they could have had, rumour is the shop is for sale! Any OZ bacon lover entrepreneur?![]()

Fair go, if the guys who owns the Pizza shop is Muslim then that is the result.
At least least he is not hypocritical in business.
There is so many food places that claim they sell Halal yet they serve bacon on the menu. Even when the chicken is killed Halal, if they have Bacon or pork somewhere on the menu on the premises then it is no longer Halal.
Guess it is back to old Eagle Boys it is a 15 km run. It is the price to pay when you live far away from civilisation......
I am planing to build a wood fired pizza oven........ mmmmmmmmmmmm pizza! ![]()
The owner doesn't eat the food he serves! If I had a shop in an area where the majority of the residents traditional food was shyt on a stick I would sell it but not eat it! Serving the customer needs should be the purpose of any shop surely???![]()
I went into Hungry Jacks the other day and, as I was ordering, two Muslim women walked in I saw they had the most colourful garments from head-to-toe and I immediately said.......
"The burqas are better at Hungry Jacks".
Their reply was "Not necessarily. MosqueDonald's has a great hamburger, too."
I reckon you should boycott the place and tell as many people as you can.
If enough people did that then he would soon go out of business or have to give you bacon and ham.
I think he would soon come around to the fact that we in Australia love bacon.
Leave your crazy ideas and rules in your own f******* country.
To take it a step further, open a Pizza shop and when a Muslim comes in tell him you refuse to make his pizza "without" bacon and see how far you get. You would be labelled a racist and probably be in court as quick as you can say "do you want anchovies with that". The one way street in Oz is getting busier every day!
On a similar note , a lady applied for a job as a cook at the child care centre my daughter manages, during the interview the "aplicant" said she would not prepare food with ham in it as it was against her religion, hearing this my daughter thanked her for her time and told her that she was not suitable for the job. Being told this the woman went on the ever so common,,,,,----your a racist bla ,bla ,bla, .
Remaining calm and ever so polite she told her that the kids liked their ham sandwiches and the parents have an input to the kids diet and are aware of what they eat there and thats what they want, along with a variety of salads and fruits.
She stormed out obviously upset , I recon SO WHAT!!![]()

What I wanna know is why can't the shop have bacon / ham in a different fridge, use different pans for the pizzas sold to aussies vs muslims, and still be Halal as there is no chance of bacon or ham touching what the Muslims eat?
Then he has both markets.
Or do they have a standard where pig is not even allowed in the same shop? Surely they don't ... otherwise they could not buy bread at woolies as 5 isles over there is ham or bacon.
