if any seabreezers are into beercan collecting, Ive just come across a carton of 24 Hannans lager cans , circa 1988. after they closed in Kalgoorlie , but before they gave up brewing real beer and started filling the cans with yellow fizz. theres even the original box!

when I was about 8 or so, my old man played the last post at the burial of the last Hannan's keg to come out of Kal. It was buried in the main street of Leonora or front of the Agnew pub, can't recall which. No wonder I turned out a bit different if I saw him play last post at Anzac Day every year, and then at the "great loss" of a brewery hahaha
By sunrise the 'local identities' had dug the keg up, never to be seen again. About right for that area, you could not even bury grog deep enough to stop them pinching it

they are /were still full of beer. considering the contents are 24years old it looks and tastes like a really hoppy/malty home brew Im stunned at how good it tastes.
It even reminded me of how you would wake up with a farty, runny hannans hangover.
only 14 full cans to go !!!!
im putting the cans carefully back in the box,
perhaps an old sail or wally mast as a swap if Im lucky.

PS does anybody know how to switch off the predictive text on a samsungGT E11 50i, my computer is so slow that it times out before I can download the manual
