Noticed over the past few months, I find it really slow to scroll to the bottom of posts, it seems to takes longer for me to type a message as I have to wait for the text to render or wait until one of the buttons become active so I can click it. Seems to take about 10 seconds for a page to load - even theage.com.au is quicker, and there is tons more content and images on that.

I believe the slowness is caused by all the people with avatars with movement

PS, mine is not slow, nor too quick for me

Seems okay for me, and I tend to notice this.

It even seems good on a Vodafone mobile device, and if anything is going to run slow its on a Vodafone data connection...

Have you tried it on another PC to see if its the PC, the page, or the service?

I only ever noticed the slowness on the 'Cisco's Friday Night Music Spot' thread, that had up to 100 YouTube videos on one page at times. Gave up on that one.

On a related note Internet usage is forecast to triple by 2017 (unless you're Mark):

That's your pc/browser. Install flash block, add block, no script to keep the page processing load down.

Can pretty much say it's your pc/browser, as we keep a keen eye on the speed of delivery, and speed of rendering.

For example, in last 24 hours, all pages have been delivered by the server (regardless of network/browser) in under 200 milliseconds. (1000 ms = 1 second)

Once you add in network transfer time from the server, the speed of your computer, your browser, the "finished" rendering is under 4 seconds for 98% of users.

..at least that's what the stats say...

If you uninstall that 10cm of toolbars from the top of your Internet Explorer 5.0, you might find magic happens

Seriously, if not already, try chrome + flashblock + adblock (whitelist/exemption for Seabreeze of course)

Have you also noticed over the past few months how policemen seem to be getting younger, the odd gray hair appears now and then, people talk to you slightly louder, you don't get told off for sitting in the front seats on the bus, more people tend to annoy you and you find yourself admiring the craftsmanship in a good pair of carpet slippers ?

Might not be Seabreeze getting slower ??

I was on a bus yesterday- and a kid called me Sir, and got up to give me his seat!

dunno if I should be pleased that there are still kids with manners,

or pissed off that they thought I was old

+1 for chrome, even works well on the iPad. Speed seems ok to me and my crap connection.
