Got a call from a mate in King Island. It's huge. Should've chucked a sickie and surfed some oddball breaks Cape Sorell West coast swell bouy.

Yeah we've got it at Wye river tonight . Biggest swell I've seen down here. The noise is unbelievable! a constant unrelenting roar. High tide was something, all the rivers and creeks running back upstream as the surge pushed the waves up onto the banks. trying to find a slightly tamer break tomorrow is going to be hard

Local surfers here moving to quieter spots...about 60 tourist surfers fighting over well-known break. Biggest surf I've seen for a while.

out of control is right, the constant 40 to 60knots is just destroying everything on the west coast. Looks like a giant washing machine.
