Grab a kid's rig & get out there KOTP! We've got 45kt winds forecast for tomorrow, which will amount to +55kt gusts...I'll definitely be inside if anyone needs me.

Not mine but my work's weather station I set up a few years ago:

68.7 knots, 0 degrees (I think that means north), 00.39 (I think that means 12.39am), 15/7/2010

I'm not sure if that is 100% accurate or not.

Thats the fastest wind I have ever kited in~ 51.5knots.

To be fair, a little too windy for the 6m. But happy I gave it a crack.

You windsurfers wouldn't know what that's like though- pushing the limits and that kinda stuff

The wind speed measured at the top of one of the container cranes at Freo at 2pm ish topped out at approx 140 kmh. This is about 50 metres above ground level....

Way too windy for me

No wonder it felt windy in Pt Lincoln this morning i thought i was just getting soft at 9am while sailing on 4.7m and then looked at obs when i packed up, should have rigged smaller, PS hats off to Scotty bustin some massive airs on his teabag on the foreshore, thought he was gonna end up in one of those pines for sure
