Hi, my name is Peta Kenchington, a 78 yo granny, who happens to love messing about in the Revo 11.
which I bought last Christmas as a pressie for myself, and have for the last 6 months had a ball.....but this
all came undone Saturday night, my car was taken for a Joy Ride, with the Revo, mast, paddle on the top,
car found, and returned, police told me that yak was found in CLARK STREET, GARBUTT, but on searching
for many hours the yak, and gear have not been located in the area. If anyone has taken in for safe keeping please inform
the police. It is thought that the yak was thrown off the roof of the car whilst doing 'wheelies' and must have made
a heck of a noise if this is the case, especially if it hit another car parked in the street.
Anyone being offered a 2nd hand Revo 11 Golden Papaya [Bright yellow] WITHOUT it,s Mirage drive, but a sail, mast
fitted with a Binks furler could be offered please do the right thing and inform the police.

have also posted on Heavy weather, as I need as much help as possible in finding the Hobie.

Thanks,

Peta K.
Townsville.

Hi Peta, sorry for your loss and issues.. It's disgraceful what some people do for "fun" at the expense of others. I will keep an eye out in the Townsville region for it. Hope all goes well for you.

Cheers.

Good news, the Yak was found, and even returned to my front yard, unharmed after shooting off the car as the girls drove
at speed round Garbutt. A good rap for Hobie, as I understand the noise was enough to wake people up, so as I said in AKFF a
new marketing catch line 'Shoot your Hobie of the top of the car - It,s strong enough" lol

As the girls had thrown things out of car, to make room in the back for someone to sit and eat Maccas, my daughter and I found
the Outriggers, a bar for the rack, & one strap, as we drove round on Sunday 01.30pm looking for the Yak, unfortunate we did not find
the wheels, so have splashed out and ordered a Wheelez set, will be enable me to wheel Yak on sand, so that extends my range..lol

One small scratch on side, but the actually hull was saved by the Keel Easy I has installed. Only damage was to roof rack, which tore off
and lost it's nuts and bolts, trying to replace them, without the expense of a new rack, so trailing round the 'boys' shops this morning.

Thank you - everyone of you - that has offered help and support, it restores one's faith in human nature.

Looking forward to talking to people on the water and at the ramps.
