Sharks are actually quite peaceful. If you are throwing dead bloody fish in the water trying to encourage them to attack then they will attack. if you are not enticing them they will not harm you.

Um that last bit is tongue in cheek right? From memory wasn't there 5 fatalities just in WA last year? Maybe you are suggesting that by sitting on a surfboard people are enticing them?
