It's obviously a borrowed car. They handle that sort of stuff sooooo much better than your own car. 
I learnt that years ago when some friends borrowed my surfboard.
I was really surprised to see how well it handled bashing over the reef at low tide. 
But then, that's what friends are for.
I think, rather obviously, they are winching out of mud, as is very common in 4WD competition.
Thus he IS relaxed as all he is doing is steering as his codriver pulls him out????
