Mine was farking sh!t.
It rained every day.
The one day it didn't rain I took my push bike out for a spin and got run over by a postie.
I gained 6kgs, I reckon I lost 10kgs of muscle and gained 16kgs of fat... cos I wobble way more than normal.
I became an alcoholic.
I bought so much crap I don't know what to do with it.
The last 2 years have been crap summers, but this one takes the all time crap cake.
Guess what it's still raining!
Rain?????? what's that stuff .... seems to be a barrier out there somewhere and we get our arses scorched to the welldone side of seared over on our side![]()
Bugger all waves on any regular basis , hit & miss really unless you can get travel distances.
Upside .... new boards for this year![]()
no wasps
posties don't hassle in the wildwest or we shoot their knackers off - click , bang , nuts on terra firma![]()

Injured ankle fairly badly after 2 paddles on the board of my dreams.
I've had 2 paddles, a total 2 hours since 10th Jan. Really bummed.
I agree waking up every morning is a bonus, walking without pain is also starting to rate really high.
Cheers
Surf wise - very poor indeed. Surfed three times since Xmas - travelled each time. Have not been out since OZ day... but just ordered a new board today - and have two weeks booked A/L around Easter so here's hoping!!!
It's now Autumn so C'mon Huey - bring some magic ![]()
Five days where the maximum temperature approached 30 degrees. Rained almost every day. The end of the season capped off by floods. A sunny day was a rarity.
Worst summer ever. Bring on winter.
Mine was good, I got through it. For the past 18 years I've worked 2 jobs during summer, so it's always a challenging time for me, but at the same time it's a great earner. I now measure my progress in life at the end of summer. Unfortunately, I started smoking again, but gave up just recently again. I think this time I'll be off for good; I've worked out a better plan for myself and am confident. Not smoking last year resulted in me stacking on almost 10kg in weight, I became extremely moody and agitated, but this time I think I have a much better plan.
At the start of the year I made a resolution to have the whole of Autumn off - to camp, surf, go fishing, bushwalking and stay in cheap motels in Victoria. I gave a months notice that I was quiting my job at start of Feb and all was rosy for a couple of weeks. Then my boss asked me if I could stay on for a few weeks longer. I said sure, as long as I employed as a contractor on current market rates.
One thing led to another and as it turned out, I got a nice pay increase and decided to continue on. I did still managed to get my fishing/camping 'man' trip in at Steep Point WA, which I'm extremely excited about.
Shucks - I can't begin to talk about how good it felt to be wanted in my job. Maybe next year I'll do the whole of Autumn break thing that I've been dreaming of.
Thankfully, now that I'm working again, Autumn here has got off to a bad start, lots of rain and wind. So I feel quite content about what's happened in my life this Summer.
Yeah - it's been a good Summer.
Was in Sydney only for a week this summer and rained all the time (no sunnies here).
Other than that, played outdoors ice hockey just about every single night and was a great 'summer' !
Havent heard of a pickleectomy but I think he really needs an optorectomy where they disconnect the cord from your eyes to your arsehole to get rid of your sh!!ty outlook on life![]()

It's been a full and rewarding few months.
mmm, had a client who completely stressed me out just before xmas, took the shine of the season, so much anger in me that my Sup board got paddled k's and K's, did lots of running/walking and I was able to vent it out on getting fit, fittest I have been for some years and years, met the client for the first time this morning, whilst she was trying to justify herself and crying as she did it, I suggested she had ****ed my Xmas and that of the family and blah blah blah making her shorter in stature than she is and left her feeling completely stupid in front of a number of people, harsh but fair and shared a good effyn laugh about it with a couple of the blokes afterwards, I got her a bloody beawdy, now I can move on ![]()

Pretty bloody good, great waves through December, January. Feb was a bit quiet other than Iggy, but really I had a more than a months worth of insane waves on that one day anyway so I can't complain.
And if Autumn keeps on truckin like the past weekend (and looks like the coming one too) then I won't be whinging for a while.
